Oaks is an heavy, introspective post-metal band from Paris (France), a raw journey into a dense, sprawling, and evocative soundscape, standing at the crossroads of Mastodon, Tool, and Russian Circles

Formed in late 2019 by Thibault (guitar) and Julien (bass), the band came together surrounded by walls of amplifiers, unleashing the spirit of their instruments through pure energy, enhanced by an ever-growing arsenal of effect pedals. With Quentin later joining on drums, the lineup was complete, ready to forge the distinctive sound that defines Oaks: an organic, analog blend that is massive, razor-sharp, powerful, and deeply sincere.

In 2022, Oaks signed with Italian label Argonauta Records to release its debut album, "Genesis of the Abstract". Supported by two music videos and a nationwide French tour including opening slots for acclaimed acts such as Alcest, Ufomammut, Lizzard, and Famyne, the album earned the trio widespread praise from both critics and audiences.

 Always drawn to unconventional projects, the three musicians released the standalone single "So Heavy" in November 2023: a crushing, hypnotic tribute to The Beatles' classic "I Want You (She's So Heavy)", accompanied by a music video directed by Clément Sautet.

 In December 2025, Oaks embarked on its first European tour, performing 11 shows across 8 countries, giving the band the opportunity to try out its new material on stage.

 In February 2026, the band returned to Studio Sainte-Marthe under the guidance of producer Francis Caste (Hangman's Chair, Regarde les Hommes Tomber, ADX, Loudblast...) to shape its second album "Monologue", a towering sonic monolith set for release in February 2027.
